I attended a two-day training with Garth Hanson a few months ago and want to commend the program and the instructor for a training well done. I have since used these presentation techniques for some internal presentations and will also be doing my own training on Experian Compliance issues to our affiliate companies, where I plan to use these techniques again. I sure hope it's better than what I originally saw on my video. It was a fun informative class and feel it was time well spent. Thanks! -- Beth Kessler, Experian I recently attended a very beneficial 2 day Technical Writing Workshop run by IFI Training. LAAFB employees might also benefit from this class which was educational and had interactive hands on training in a very positive atmosphere! Educational: The workshop covered many needed items thoroughly. We covered the process approach to create many different types of technical documents including e-mail. We also went through editing, wordcrafting, writing tips, and value added helping tips. All of these items were covered in the handbook we were issued. Interactive: The instructor, Scott Wood, had the attendees consistently interact by creating rough drafts and trying different types of writing styles. Scott also had us go through examples and we were encouraged to give answers and ask question throughout the workshop. Positive Atmosphere: During the workshop we sat at tables in groups. Everyone had similar jobs so we related well and positively to each other. We completed alot of the lessons together-- very helpful! Another uplifting tactic IFI training used is that we were awarded neat prizes when we did well as a group and individually. I highly recommend LAAFB to place this class in the employee training curriculum!
